Judithian Montana Mural, section 4 of 9 (2008)

Digital painting / photographic composite

The above image is part of a 64x4-foot mural of Montana during the late Cretaceous, commissioned by the Houston Museum of Natural Science and the Judith River Foundation for the exhibit entitled "Dinosaur Mummy CSI: Cretaceous Science Investigation", which features the mummified remains of a Brachylophosaurus canadensis duckbilled dinosaur nicknamed "Leonardo". In this section of the mural, Chasmosaurus russelli (left) and Euoplocephalus tutus approach the riverbank for a drink as a herd of Corythosaurus casuarius pass by in the distance.
